Paper Players
is the creation of Michele and Chris Whitaker, who
opened their doors in Dunedin for the first time May 1,
2001. Michele has an extensive background in the
arts. She is an expert at making paper, the many
uses of paper, and has a real flair for tasteful creativity.
Michele also designs her own line of cards. Chris'
background is in business and marketing; enabling them
to select and display the right combinations of products.
The two of them teamed together have made a very successful
company, exceeding even their initial expectations.
Because of their
continuing success, on May 1, 2003, Paper Players relocated
to a larger, stand-alone building in Dunedin (434 Virginia
Lane). This facility is a quaint cottage, painted
red with white trim and a white picket fence with beautiful
landscaping; visible from Main Street beyond Pioneer Park.
Paper Players employs several people to help keep things
running smoothly. Michele has many rooms to separate
and group her products into. Including a designated
area to work individually with event planners and bride's-to-be

continues to select Paper Players as the "Best Stationery Supplier"
several consecutive years in their Best of Tampa
Bay magazine. What a great honor!
In addition, Paper
Players expanded its web-site to include an on-line catalog
in the summer of 2003. This web-site is continually
adding new items to the shopping cart catalog, so be sure
to keep coming back! While the store carries thousands
of items, the web-site offers the best, most popular,
fun and unique items available! They continue to
offer personalized service to all their customers, including
customized printing, and expert advise on selection and
wording. Paper Players has become a favorite for
wedding planners, and large social event planners because
of Michele's exquisite taste in design and the personal
attention she makes sure everyone receives.
The five year
anniversary for Paper Players has past now, and business
is going better than ever. The Tampa Bay area has
proven to be in need of a store just as the Whitakers
have created. Always staying with the current trends,
and putting the customer first has made this company a
rapid success. They stay professionally active and

The store
is located in a beautiful waterside town on the west central
coast of Florida, Just north of Clearwater, and west of
Tampa. Downtown Dunedin is full of artistic and
creative stores and highly regarded restaurants.
In June of 2008, Paper Players has relocated into a
larger facility; from 434 Virginia Ave. to 306 Monroe
Street, Dunedin. This location had easy access
and ample free parking!
